Natha Siddha Lineage

What are the Natha Siddhas?

The Natha Siddhas constitute the oldest known Yogic tradition (sampradaya). The word Natha means “Lord, Pure, Free,” and the word Siddha means “Perfected, Powerful, Accomplished.” The Siddha movement is divided into 33 schools, and its four sole principles are: FREEDOM, FRATERNITY, EQUALITY, and RESPECT. The Nathas take the application of these principles to the fullest.

Siddha refers to the Yogi who attained the sublime mind during life, thus becoming a Master of all Gnostic knowledge, having realized the latent potentialities in the rest of human beings.

The Siddhas propose the possibility of achieving immortality in the body, attainable in this life. Their main reference is BABAJI (Matsyendranatha), the immortal Yogi who resides in the heart of the Himalayas, from whom most of the methods we see today derive, which only partially manifest the original knowledge of yoga.

The Natha Siddha Sampradaya represents the highest values of this millennial development, playing a primary role in the development of many of the methods and philosophies known today.

The Parivara Hansa is one of these lineages, the community of the White Swans.
